Before you go

  • Residency and ID. Residential customers only: bring a recent CPS Energy bill and photo ID; free if you pay the City's environmental fee.
  • What to bring. The posted rules say: “Free for San Antonio residential customers who pay the City's environmental fee (recent CPS Energy bill and photo ID required).”
  • Not accepted. It does not take bagged garbage, bed linens, boards longer than 10 ft, brush, leaves & yard waste, clothes, hazardous material, mattresses with blood stains or bed bugs, railroad ties, soil, rocks & concrete, soiled couch cushions with blood or bed bugs, styrofoam, trash, unbagged insulation and 275 gal rebottled IBC tote tanks.
  • Good to know. Bulky items limited to 4 cubic yards and construction debris to 1 cubic yard; no household trash; no materials from commercial waste haulers.
